NOHA ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING- MAY 6-8, 2011 - SAULT STE MARIE

The 2011 NOHA Annual General Meeting will be held in Sault Ste. Marie. The Host Hotel is the Comfort Suites & Conference Centre.  For room reservations, please call 1-800-563-7262.  The room rate is $119.00/night (single or double) and includes a hot breakfast.  These rooms will be released on April 5, 2011.

The Awards Banquet will be held on Saturday, May 7th, 2011.  The tickets are $35.00 per person.  Tickets can be purchased through the NOHA Office – contact Janet Laxton at jlaxton@noha.on.ca.  The deadline for purchasing tickets has been set at April 27th, 2011.

Just a reminder that Amendments and Nominations are due by Friday, April 8, 2011 (four weeks prior to the Annual Meeting).  The motion form on which to submit motions for consideration at the AGM is available on the NOHA website under “NOHA Annual Meeting”.

VOTING PROCEDURES

At the Annual Meeting, the following delegates shall be admitted with voting privileges, provided they represent a body in good standing with the NOHA:

            All NOHA Senior, Junior teams            1 delegate

            All NOHA Minor Teams                       1 delegate

            All NOHA Associations                       1 delegate

            NOHA Board of Directors                     14 delegates

            NOHA Director of Officials                    1 delegate

            House League Associations                 1 vote/division*

            NOHA Past Presidents                        1 delegate

            NOHA Life Members                            1 delegate

Please read By-Law Number Four – Meetings of the Association in the NOHA Constitution for further clarification.

HOUSE LEAGUE VOTING PRIVILEGES

At the NOHA Annual Meeting in May 2001, a motion was passed allowing House League associations one vote per age division registered (maximum of 6 votes) on House League matters only.  Please note, delegates may represent only one Association, team, or House League division and may cast only one vote.

OUTSTANDING MONIES

Any Associations/teams who have monies owing to the NOHA will not have voting privileges at the NOHA Annual Meeting.  Please ensure these matters are cleared up immediately or delegate cards will not be sent.
