Once again we are seeking nominations from our Associations/Teams for the various awards available from the NOHA. To submit a nomination, please complete the attached nomination form and submit by March 15. Angus Campbell Merit Award The Angus Campbell Merit Award, named after the founder of the Northern Ontario Hockey Association, is an order of merit in hockey, awarded by the NOHA, to an individual for outstanding service to the game other than as a player. HTCP Level III Trainers Clinic - North Bay - May 12, 2018

The Northern Ontario Hockey Association will be hosting a Trainers Certification Program (HTCP) Level III Clinic on Saturday, May 12, 2018 in North Bay. The HTCP Level III Clinic is an advanced program, providing the participant the opportunity to enhance their skill and knowledge level through group discussions and hands-on experience. Topics to be covered include: Practical Nutrition Shoulder and Knee Injuries Head/Neck/Spinal Injuries Severe Lacerations Introduction to Athletic Taping Upon completion of the clinic, participants will be required to write the HTCP Level III Exam on their own and must achieve a passing grade of 75% to receive their certification. NOHA and GNML Announce Team NOHA

North Bay, ON – February 13, 2018 – The Northern Ontario Hockey Association (NOHA) and Great North Midget League (GNML) are pleased to announce the names of the 19 players (2 goaltenders, 6 defencemen, 11 forwards), born in the year 2002, who have been selected to Team NOHA. Team NOHA will participate at the prestigious OHL Cup on March 13 to 19, 2018 in Toronto. Players were also selected using game evaluations at the OMHA Eastern AAA Showcase in December, along with evaluations with their club teams. OHF Bursary Applications Now Open

The Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF) Bursary Program was introduced in 1997 to recognize and reward dedication in education and hockey. The program provides financial assistance to registered OHF participants to offset the cost of post-secondary education. Over the past 21 years, the OHF has distributed more than $420,000 to over 390 post-secondary students. Each year, the OHF awards bursaries to outstanding young people who display an incredible amount of commitment both at the arena and in the classroom.
