2018 OHF/OHL Under-15 Camp Applications Open

Applications are open for the 2018 OHF/OHL Under-15 Program of Excellence Cam, that is being held as part of the 2018 NOHA Development Weekend! This program is the only Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF) and Ontario Hockey League (OHL) combined sanctioned event for the 2003 age group within the NOHA. The program will be held over a three-day weekend – August 10-12, 2018 in Sudbury, ON. Players will participate in intense, high performance on and off ice sessions and seminars. On-ice sessions will be run by Hockey Canada and OHL personnel and will include three practices focusing on individual skills, team tactics, and a position-specific practice. Toronto, ON – Team NOHA has fallen to 1-2 (one win and two losses) at the 2018 OHL Cup. Team NOHA took an early lead against the Oakville Rangers thanks to a David Campbell goal. Campbell picked up a rebound at the side of the net and roofed it on his backhand. The first period also saw a steady march to the penalty box by Team NOHA, accumulating three separate minor penalties, resulting in a 5-on-3 power play for Oakville. Team NOHA falls to the Vaughan Kings

Toronto, ON – Team NOHA’s comeback attempt against the Vaughan Kings came up just short, falling 3-2 on Wednesday evening. Team NOHA opened the scoring at the 7:31 mark of the first period courtesy of a Pacey Schlueting power play goal that fooled the glove of the Vaughan netminder. Vaughan quickly answered with a goal of their own to knot the game up at ones. The second period saw the Kings score two goals within a minute to go up 3-1. Toronto, ON – Goaltender Reece Proulx made 29 saves, posting a shutout as Team NOHA opened the 2018 OHL Cup with a 3-0 win over the London Jr. Knights. After playing a scoreless first period, Team NOHA finally found the back of the net when a Gavin Brown wrist-shot off the rush beat London’s goaltender up high at the 14:09 mark of the second period. The third period saw the turning point of the game as Proulx made a remarkable cross-crease save to stymie a London short-handed opportunity.
