The NOHA, OHF and OHL have announced the details of the 2017 OHF/OHL Under-15 Program of Excellence as part of the 2017 NOHA Development Weekend.
This program is the only Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF) and Ontario Hockey League (OHL) combined sanctioned event for the 2002 age group within the NOHA. The program will be held over a three-day weekend – August 11-13, 2017 in Sudbury, ON.
Players will participate in intense, high performance on and off ice sessions and seminars. On-ice sessions will be ran by OHL personnel and will include, two practices (Individual Skills and Team Tactics), On-Ice Testing and three games. Off-ice sessions include seminars on Mental Health, Sports Psychology, Nutrition and Fitness.
The program is open to all male players who were born in 2002 and are registered within the NOHA.
The online application process is now open and will run until March 31, 2017. A non-refundable $100.00 deposit is required upon registration. A website link will be provided at a later time, to complete the remainder of the payment process.
Team NOHA will be made up of OHL Draft-eligible players that are permanent residents in Northern Ontario. Team NOHA will compete in different events during the 2017-18 hockey season, including the 2018 OHL Cup and the 2018 OHL Gold Cup. Players who wish to be considered for Team NOHA are encouraged to register and attend the Development Weekend. If you are unable to attend the NOHA Development Weekend and wish to be considered for Team NOHA you may apply to participate in one of the four other OHF/OHL Under-15 Program of Excellence locations: Kitchener, Toronto, Windsor, and Oshawa.
